During outdoor learning, we went into the forest and collected objects from nature that we could use to create an art gallery. In teams of 5 or 6, the children brainstormed and discussed what they wanted to create based on the objects they had collected, such as sticks, rocks, and moss. They then set to work to create their objects’ different components, such as the wings of their plane, the rooms of their house, or the arms and legs of their person. They wrote a label for their creation and then we toured each project to hear all about it.
