Our classes have been investigating and inquiring about snow. How long will it take to melt, what happens if we put water in the freezer, what are some characteristics of snow, what do we know about snow and ice, and what are our favourite winter activities. We brought snow into our classroom to have a closer look.

We painted snowmen and then measured them using cubes and other materials found in our classroom.
We labelled a snowman using our French vocabulary. Some children even printed the words on their own snowman sheet.
We sequenced "How to build a snowman".
And we practiced our fine motor skills by cutting, gluing, and colouring snowmen. They look beautiful on our classroom door!
