In our dramatic play area we created under the sea. We started off by painting a mural of all the different sea creatures we knew. We painted mermaids, crabs, clownfish, whales, sharks, and lots more. We then got the children to brainstorm different items to put in our sea. We decided to make a submarine, a boat, fishing rods and sea creatures. Some of the students dressed up a scuba divers, using their backpacks as air tanks, while others make fishing poles out of string and connecting straws. In our science centre we brought in some sea shells, so students could either sort or make a pattern with them. We also started compound words in English. In the language centre, students had to match the compound words together to make words. We did some great learning! | |
